AKUTE has been labeled as one of the most promising artists on the Belarusian independent rock scene. It was formed in 2009 by ex-participants of the well-known band Глюкі, who decided to switch to more contemporary music which they describe as “disco decadence”. AKUTE’s first track, “Adzinoctva” (“Loneliness”), was recorded February 2009 made the main Belarusian chart, “Tuzin Hitou” and stayed in top5 for seven months. AKUTE’s collected “The best new band” award at the ULTRA MUSIC AWARDS 2009, the Grand-prix at «Vertifest 2010» (Kiev, Ukraine), the 1st prize at «Basowiszcza 2010» (Grodek, Poland) and played two special sets at «Be2gether 2010» (Norviliškės, Lithuania).
