The title track of the album “Hellfire” is a chaotic instrumental setting up the rest of the nature of a lot of the album, with Geordie Greep’s erratic spoken word over the top detailing a life ending as quick as that, and reaching hell. black midi is an experimental rock band from London consisting of Morgan Simpson (drums), Cameron Picton (bass/vocals), and Geordie Greep (guitar/vocals). They began gaining popularity through touring across Europe, their breakthrough into the U.S. and a number of videos of live performances being posted online. In early 2019, the band released two singles along with the announcement of their debut album Schlagenheim which was released later that year on the 21st of June, and their sophomore effort Cavalcade released in May of 2021 -- to universal critical acclaim.
