According to the Self Machine Songfacts, Coco told The Independent newspaper that she relates to the loneliness of the robot in the song. Said Coco: "This little robot can't empathise with anything but himself, so he feels really sorry for himself. I Blame Coco (stylised I Blåme Coco) was the alias of the pop UK musician Eliot Sumner. They were supported by a backing band that included Jonny Mott (keyboards), Alexis Nunez (drums), Jonas Jalhay (guitar) and Rory Andrew (bass). In 2014, Eliot announced that they will release new music with their own name.
Sumner is the child of The Police frontman Sting and actress Trudie Styler. In 2008, they signed with Island Records.
After spending time writing and recording in Sweden, they released the debut single "Caesar" on 31 January 2010, which features Swedish singer Robyn. Their debut album The Constant followed on 1 October 2010.
