Stranded

Random Killing formed in 1984 more as a joke than a real band. They were just going to jam a few times but ended up writing a few cool songs and thought they might as well play a few shows. The original name of the band was "Roy's Comrades", at the time most their songs were political so the name worked on a local level, Roy McMurtry was the attorney general of Ontario. The song "Roy Sees Red" was all about him. After a year or so they took the name "Random Killing" because of anti-war songs, anti-hunting and drunk driving, etc they had. Random Killing is a punk rock band from Toronto, Ontario Canada who were assembled initially as a joke in 1984. Their original name was Roy's Comrades, which was a nod to Roy McMurtry, Attorney General of Ontario at the time. After writing a few decent songs, the band decided to record and stay together. In 1995, their song "12," from Thoughts of Aggression (Raw Energy 1994), was re-recorded by CBC Studios House Band and released as a video to Sesame Street.
