Top: TUYU (ツユ) was a Japanese pop group consisting of ぷす (Pusu) on guitar, 礼衣 (Rei) as vocals, and Miro on piano. おむたつ(Omutatsu) was in charge of the illustrations until March 2022, and AzyuN was in charge of video design. 双葉陽 (HutabaHaru) was also in charge of illustration. Biography: 「やっぱり雨は降るんだね」 (It’s Raining After All; romanized "yabba ri ame wa furun da ne") was released as a full album on March 2020. TUYU’s second full album 「貴方を不幸に誘いますね」 (I’ll put you in misery; romaji "anata o fukou ni sasoi masu ne") released on July 14th, 2021. TUYU's final song and single release was 「それでも雨は降るんだね」(It's Raining Nevertheless/Romaji: soredemo ame wa furundane) which premiered on April 13, 2024. History of the band: TU→YU was a temporary supergroup under the Japanese male talent agency Johnny's Entertainment, consisting of Yaotome Hikaru of Hey!Say Jump! (December 2nd 1990), Masuda Takahisa of NEWS (July 4th 1986), Nagano Hiroshi of V6 (October 9th, 1972), Johnny's Junior Kazama Shunsuke (June 17th, 1983) and actor Takeda Tetsuya (April 11th, 1949). TU→YU first started as a purely fictitious band for the CM for noodle soup by Tokyo Suisan, but reacting to popular demand, were allowed to release a song as "mobile debut", meaning it and the PV were only available as cell phone download throughout Japan. Which was just like their band name (ツユ), which can be seen as a pun on the Japanese word for the soup base served with ramen, the song title 「そばにいるよう」 (I'll stay by your side; romanized "soba ni iru you" ) can be seen as a pun on soba noodles. The band said that after their debut, they were determined to release more singles and hold concerts. 「そばにいるよう」 was available in Japan from the 17th of November, 2008 on mobile platforms and was available for download from the Johnny's Entertainment website from the 1st of December. Attempted murder from "Pusu": On May 31st, 2024, Pusu (ぷす), known as Yano Asaya (矢野麻也), was arrested for the attempted murder of a teenage girl he was dating. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, a caller reported that he had stabbed her in a room of an apartment in Nogata, Nakano Ward, just before 10:00 a.m. When police officers arrived at the scene, they found a girl that had been stabbed in the chest. She was later taken to the hospital, and is still conscious. The girl was stabbed in the chest with a kitchen knife in the apartment Pusu and the girl shared. The girl was asleep in her bedroom when she was stabbed with a kitchen knife, and the bloodied kitchen knife was found beside her bed. Pusu was subjected to emergency arrest by law enforcement after he admitted that he "stabbed her once in the left chest with a knife." He also made a comment about the incident: "I wanted to stab her to death and then commit suicide." As a result of his arrest, TUYU disbanded.
