Thornley was a Canadian band started by Ian Thornley in 2002 , and formed in Toronto, Canada, after the breakup of his earlier band, Big Wreck. With the help of Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, Thornley signed on to Kroeger's 604 Records. After recruiting Ken Tizzard (bass), Tavis Stanley (guitar), and Sekou Lumumba (drums), Thornley was ready to start working on their debut. Thornley's first record, Come Again, would see release on May 11, 2004. Along with it came the singles Come Again, So Far So Good, Easy Comes and Beautiful. The singles would receive considerably good airplay in Canada and the album ended up being certified gold in Canada. It would also end up charting at #7 on the Canadian Top Albums chart, #8 on the US Top Heatseekers chart, and #167 on the US Billboard 200. Come Again would see a 20th anniversary re-release on May 10, 2024, and would also have a one night concert in Toronto the next day, May 11, in celebration of it. Their second album, Tiny Pictures, was released on February 10, 2009 in Canada, and on December 15 of the same year internationally. The only single was Make Believe. Thornley has, since 2010, performed live under the Big Wreck moniker, due to former Big Wreck member Brian Doherty and current member Dave McMillan playing their music. Big Wreck has since hired drummer Sekou Lumumba. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
