The band was founded by Zubair Bin Shahjahan and Omair Khan Panni, two guitar soloists, and later Faiaz Hassan Chowdhury joined as the drummer, Adnan Atique as keyboardist and Aldnane Alam as bass player. In its early days, the band was mostly guitar based. But eventually it became a solid instrumental band with the addition of more members, and began emphasising equally on keyboard, drums and bass works. By 2010 Air & Air became fully functional and was brought into existence in order to materialize the band's intense passion for music. Air & Air has a vision to create deep, meaningful instrumentals, and its members dream of a revolution in this genre in Bangladesh which is yet to happen. At the moment, Air & Air's debut instrumental album is in the works. This could become the first "Instrumental Rock" album in the country (not to be confused with the first "Guitar solo" album released in Bangladesh by the guitar maestro Iqbal Asif Jewel). Air & Air strives to produce their album with adequate musical quality, and its members feel that their album will be liked by music lovers around the world.
