Angie Hall

For Angie Hall, music has always been a constant companion. Growing up in a small town in North Carolina, music was commonplace in a household where everyone was a singer, musician, or both. Angie began to sing at a very early age. Unable to become a member of her church youth choir until age eleven, she could often be found locked in her bedroom performing before sold out stadiums worldwide. Upon reaching the required age, Angie gladly became a member of the church youth choir and has been singing in church choirs ever since. Though Angie was a talented and dedicated member of the choirs she was a part of, she seldom sought or wanted the spotlight, and was often content to sit in the background and watch her siblings take a more aggressive approach to enter the music industry. However, though Angie did not see music as a realistic future occupation, it was undeniable that music was and would always be a big part of her life. In 2003, Angie suffered a tremendous loss after the untimely passing of her eldest brother, Samuel. Music was also a huge part of Sam’s life, and he often included Angie in musical events and programs that he planned. This was a devastating loss, which lead Angie to take a break from singing for a period of time. Music however, proved to be too irresistible, and interwoven in the fabric of her life. To deny music, was synonymous to denying a part of herself. To do this was near impossible, and once again Angie found herself on the stage, lending her considerable vocal talents to her church choirs. Recently, though still content backing up others, Angie unexpectedly was thrust into the forefront. She began to dabble in songwriting and her lyrical skills quickly captured attention. Angie was soon given an opportunity to record her songs for “Demo” purposes. These “Demo” sessions soon morphed into full blown sessions, with the intent of an album release. Angie has had the opportunity to work with not only some of the best producers in the Gospel Music Industry, but also some of the premier musicians in the world. Throughout this experience, Angie has remained humble and is still the shy girl who would rather be in the background. However, God has opened doors in which Angie is walking through. Though obstacles have and will continue to be present, Angie is firmly moving forward along the path that God has paved, in order to encourage and be a blessing to others. Read more on Last.fm.
