"Free as Jazz; more rhythm then funk, yet deep; from the heart and soul taking you into the far- east of Turkish flavoured tunes" Cazyapjazz is an unlimited and contemplative project of six musicians that combines dark, profund and entertaining elements, sometimes coarse, sometimes complex, regardless of genre and time.This sextet presents an amazing synthesis of eastern themes based on drum & bass, fusion, funk and jazz. The bandmembers: Semih Yanyali ( guitar ), Reinhard Buchner ( bass ), Mathis Riehm ( drums ), Ozan Aydogan ( darbuka ), Murat Kücükboyaci ( keys ) and Matthias Kaiser ( Saxophon, Querflöte). Semih Yanyali ( lived 15 years in culture metropole Istanbul ) and Murat Kucukboyaci ( born and grown up in Munich ) present an eclectic sound that mixes the Romany (Gypsy) sounds of Istanbul with the electronic rhythms and influences of London, jazz grooves and improvisations of New York and cosmopolitan culture of Munich.
