Dinal

Dinal is a Polish rap group from Opole. The group consists of four unbelievably gorgeous members: Pan Wankz, Urb, Karol and Mejdej (Pan Wankz is honorary gorgeous, because he works out at the gym). They started their very succesful career in 1998 (or 1997, because there was a track "Hot '97", no one knows the exact date, it's one of 69 world's greatest mysteries) and in the beginning there were 7 members like 7 dots on dice and the name was three-letter, but it was changed, because girls from Opole considered three-letter names embarassing. To get rid of embarassments and to join the club of positively freaky people of Teleexpress, they asked a kid what name would he give to his dog if he had one. He answered "DINAL". Actually, he probably said "DINA", but there's a sex shop in Opole named Dina with a poster of a black woman which is actually a transistor. That's how it really was. Then one more guy joined the club and now we can introduce the whole group: The frontman Pan Wankz aka Van Punkz "always hidden on Gadu Gadu" - vocals, lyrics, biking Mr Mateusz aka Mathias Szpiler aka Mejdej Mejdej aka Lord Wiader aka his own boss (also known as Kuśka from the duo Kuśka i Skurwysyn) - beats, vocals, buckets, djing Tadziu Gruda aka Urbek aka Zbigniew Smolski aka Zbigi Smols aka Gruby - he does everything, everything is terrible Karol K aka Karol aka Sir Charles - vocals, mental support, only Odra In this squad the boys make their rap for vinyl snobs, overly technical, about nothing, on pretty good beats, like it's required. Trueschool, because they're all skaters and graffitti artists, but they stay gangsta. They constantly dream about love, write poems or cry in the rain in an unbuttoned shirt, people hate them because they're gorgeous and stately (no homo). Dinal released one debut EP titled 'Kaseta demonstracyjna' in 2003 and one LP named 'W strefie jarania i w strefie rymowania' in 2006. The group gained attention because of being the first rap group in Poland to release its debut only on vinyl. Currently, Pan Wankz is a teacher on University of Opole, Mejdej is a member of Okoliczny Element with Nin-Jah, and Urbek DJs sometimes. Read more on Last.fm.
