Cape Verdean singer and songwriter, born in Salamansa, São Vicente, sister of Nana Matias As the new star of Cape Verde, the singer has music in the blood. Many are the similarities that exist between Dulce Matias and Cesaria Evora: both originate in Mindelo, draw their rich musical traditions beyond, making travel over languid rhythms and melancholy as Morna and sometimes lively and danceable as drain.
