Ecos Falsos

These 5 boys from São Paulo, Brazil, play a heavy-experimental-oriented-pop-for-the-indie-masses; despite their sarcastic genre orientation, they can also feel - and go through dramatic conflicts and tears: they have just changed their formation, after playing together since 2002. The band is now formed by Daniel Akashi (guitar/vocal), Davi Rodriguez (drums/vocal), Gustavo Martins (guitar/keys/vocal), Rodrigo de Pizzol (guitar/effects/vocal) and Vinicius Favaretto (bass/vocal). The former member, Felipe Daros (guitar/vocal), played till December '08; but they still love each other. His new project is called Bigode. They were also nominated for the Brazilian MTV VMAs Best Independent Videoclip, with the video "Réveillon"; and their first album, "Descartável Longa Vida", was released on September '07, featuring brazilian music geniuses Tom Zé and Pato Fu, amongst other guest musicians. After achieving recognition and playing gigs across the country with no record label back-up, they are up to record their new album, "Quase", on March/April, '09, which is set to be released on June.
