Eldritch Anisette

Eldritch Anisette was a Newark-based emo band that was active from 1996 to 1997. They released one seven inch, and made a demo of songs that were material for the 7". The band didn't do any tours, primarily because Timothy Nichols (drummer) and Marc Krupanski (bassist) were still in school at that time, as well as both of them having their own music projects. They did, however, plan to tour. As far as Courtney Ellen Miller, the band's lead singer, could recollect however, they only played two times outside of Delaware - in New York and New Jersey, but did weekly shows in Newark with bands from other states and cities, as part of a collective called the Enoch Collective (featuring the members of boysetsfire) which organized local shows once a week. Shortly after the release of the band's first and only release - a self-titled seven inch released on their own label, St. Vitus' Dance, of which 500 were sold, the band disbanded in the early months of 1997. Courtney Miller never joined another band and worked on the Rocket Fuel online zine, then leaving the music scene altogether, and Marc Krupanski played in a handful of bands after Eldritch Anisette's breakup (most recently playing bass for boysetsfire from 2011-2013), before moving to Europe in 2013. Miller had 500 of the 1000 copies made of the 7" at her parents' house, but, unfortunately, all of them were thrown out by her mother in 2011 to make repairs for their basement, except Miller's personal one.
