FOEHN TRIO

Since its creation in 2016, the Lyon-based trio composed of Christophe Waldner (piano and keyboards), Cyril Billot (double bass and synth bass) and Kevin Borqué (drums and sound effects) has relentlessly fine-tuned their special musical bond to craft an innovative, modern and unrivaled vision of jazz. Two years after their ode to the mountains "Magnesia" Foehn reaches a new high with their second opus "Highlines", which shatters the codes of jazz with compositions with a singular evocative power. Still produced by André Manoukian on French label Mad Chaman, the trio invited two renowned musicians, the trumpet player Erik Truffaz and the flutist Joce Miennel, to play on the album. Tuneful and cinematic, Foehn's music invites you from the very first notes into a fascinating imaginary world, oscillating between acoustic and electronic flavours, halfway between intimacy and power.
