Freddy Kalas

Frederik Auke, better known by his stage name Freddy Kalas (and fka Freddy Genius) is a Norwegian singer, signed to Alter Ego Music and Universal Music. With his debut single "Pinne for landet" he ended up at the top of the VG list, Norway's official top list, in 2014. The following year he also scored a big hit with the Christmas single "Hey Ho". The big breakthrough as a solo artist came in 2015 when he was the 3rd most streamed Norwegian artist in Norway, only beaten by Broiler and Kygo. He has topped the sales charts in Norway several times, played on VG-lista, Spellemann, Allsang På Grensen, been nominated as "song of the year" by Spellemann (2016) etc. In 2016, Freddy Kalas participated in the Norwegian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, Melodi Grand Prix. With his entry "Feel Da Rush" he reached the final four in the preselection process finishing runner-up to the winning song "Icebreaker" by Agnete. Kalas' song proved popular with the public making it to number 2 on the Norwegian Singles Chart.
