There is more than one artist / band / group with the same name. 1. GIRLFRIEND (ガールフレンド ) was an all-female pop-rock band formed in 2015 at Caless, Osaka’s vocal and dance school. The band started out as a trio with Mirei, Sakika, Mina until the addition of Nagisa. They performed at various events in 2015. Their first one-man live was held in March of 2016 in Osaka. Their first indies album “Hello” was released on August 3. They made their major debut under Avex Trax on November 23 with the single “15/Hide and Seek and the single was also used for the ending theme to anime “Twin Star Exorcist.” Their song "Sky & Blue" was also used as the opening for Black Clover Opening 8. They split up in 2021. 2. Girlfriend was a five-girl pop group from Australia, formed in 1991. Their debut album Make It Come True was released in 1992 and contained four ARIA top 50 singles, including the #1 hit, "Take It From Me". The group also became recognised for its fashion sense, with their flower hats becoming a symbol of the band; at one point, they had their own clothing line. After the departure of lead vocalist Robyn Loau, the group changed its name to GF4. 3. Girlfriend formed in 1995 in Aarhus by Jacob Karim and Jens Henrik Horslund. Debuted with 1996 EP 'Girlfriend' In 2001 they released the album 'Opening Nights' . In 2004 "Blue Sky Love Scene" was released. Girlfriend played 90s indie pop reminiscent to Travis, Saybia, Crowded House, Pluto - harmonious, radio friendly likeably introverted, atmospheric and intelligent. Read more on Last.fm.
