Hyper Potions

Hyper Potions is a kawaii future bass project originally consisting of Ian Tsuchiura (aka Sushi Killer) and Kevin Villecco who both debuted on Monstercat with their collaboration "Anime Bae". After Anime Bae was released, they decided to form a duo, naming themselves Hyper Potions after the item from Nintendo's Pokémon series, and released their first track on Monstercat under this name with "Porta Vista". In 2016, Hyper Potions worked with SEGA to release music for the game Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice and in 2017 for the game, Sonic Mania. They also produced the soundtrack for the game, Guano Gladiators (formerly S.O.Y.F.). Their song Friends was also featured in the 2020 Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Most recently, they worked with YouTuber Scott The Woz on his 200th episode and provided Borderline Forever, a remix of the outro song (originally Block Destruction or Breakout) used by Scott in his videos. Following grooming accusations, Villecco was officially fired from the group on March 18, 2023. It was later announced that he would not be replaced and the group would become a solo project for Tsuchiura. Read more on Last.fm.
