Inferi

There are several artists using this name. 1. A 4-piece melodic death metal band from Nashville, Tennessee USA. Members from the band Death Looks Promising, formed Inferi in 2005. They began with two self-released albums: Divinity In War (2007) and The End Of An Era (2009), a demo released in 2011, and their label debut album The Path Of Apotheosis was released in 2014 on The Artisan Era, run by their guitarist, Malcolm Pugh. The band released Revenant in 2018, including a feature from Trevor Strnad which helped reach new audiences. In 2019, they re-recorded The End of an Era, releasing it as "The End of an Era | Rebirth." They released a four-song EP in 2020, "Of Sunless Realms," and released their most recent album, Vile Genesis, in 2021. They are active. 2. A one man black metal band started in 2002 by Fyrdkal from Laitila, Finland. He has released two demos, Slow Decay (2003), Rise Of The Deceased (2004), a full length debut album Shores Of Sorrow (2006) on Northern Heritage Records and a compilation Inferi released by Last Rites in 2011 consisting of the first two demos and a third unreleased demo from 2005. Main lyrical concepts include desolation, depression and misanthropy. Fyrdkal is also involved with 3. Dutch Black Metal band from Schiedam, formed in 1992. Changed name to Domini Inferi. 4. Argentinian Black Metal Band, started by "Inferi Black". Formed in 1997, the band dissolved in 2013 when Inferi Black moved to Austria. He reformed the band in 2018 with new members and went on to release a fourth full-length, entitled "Fourth Portal". Read more on Last.fm.
