Lim Jaebeom (Hangul: 임재범) born January 6th, 1994 in Goyang, South Korea, commonly known by his previous stage name JB (Hangul: 제이비) and now his solo artistic/stage name Jay B, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, producer (under the name Defsoul), dancer, MC and actor who is the leader of South Korean boy band GOT7 (Hangul: 갓세븐) , part of the duo JJ Project and the GOT7 sub-unit JUS2. He is also part of the group ØFFSHORE under the name Def.. He was signed under H1GHR MUSIC (Hangul: 하이어뮤직레코즈), an international hip-hop and R&B record label, from May 11, 2021 to July 27, 2022.
