A self confessed lover of all things nocturnal, Kamisshake or Kami as he is known has been visiting clubs ever since he was old enough to get in to them and its been shaping his life from the very first visit. Kami has used his love of the parties, clubs, colourful characters and never ending stream of music as inspiration for his own productions and DJing sets… Kami is originally from Iran but now resides in London. Feeding his thirst for all things electronic he worked in the Soho record store XSF. and currently at the leading record store in uk bm soho He then channeled his production flair and burst onto the European house scene in 2003 with his remix of Kelis' ‘Milkshake’, due to the overwhelming response from all corners of the world, the guise ‘Kamisshake’ was born. Famed for playing a unique blend of hypnotic, sexy global beats he regularly plays in Thailand, Uruguay, Brazil, Spain, France, Italy and more. He has an impressive catalogue of productions and remixes under his belt including work for major labels such as Mark Knight’s Toolroom, Deepdish’s Yositoshi and shinichi amongst others. Kami has held residencies at some of the worlds most esteemed clubs including 'Fiction' at one of London’s best loved clubbing institutes ‘The Cross’ (R.I.P) and of course the legendary DTPM previously held every Sunday at Fabric and Friday’s at Space Ibiza in 2007 for Azuli. as well as peter pan & cocorico in italy His remix back catalogue includes the 4 Tune 500 classic ‘Dancing in the Dark’, the aforementioned worldwide smash ‘Milkshake’ by Kelis, Mark Knight’s ‘Insatiable’ for Toolroom and many others. His original productions include releases for the likes of Azuli (‘Dark Beat’, ‘Gin & Tonic’ / ‘Vodka Cranberry’) and Tom Stephan’s label Chumbomundo (‘High Voltage’ / ‘Rhythm Pervert’). Kami is no stranger to the long players either having been called upon to complete compilations for his good friends at Azuli. Undertaking some of the industry’s most prized compilation series including, Miami-The Annual (2007), Space – The Annual (2007) and more.
