Leo Portela

Leo Portela (aka Index, Cutlab, Liongold, Dubrider, Wax Hero) Started his career as a House, Downtempo and Drum & Bass live performer, dj and producer in 1997. His first break came when he joined Argentine electronic music label URL Records in 1999. Over the last decade, Leo Portela has edited and produced more than 60 compositions on vinyl, cd and multimedia. He produced for well known record labels in the dance industry in cities such as Buenos Aires, London, Detroit, San Francisco, New York, Miami, Rome, Milan, Bremen and Munich. Nowadays, Leo Portela is one of the motivated pioneers of the electro lounge division of Argentine record label Music Brokers-PMB, which distributes all over the world. Leo Portela composes tracks for television shows and commercials for the fashion, tourism and technology industry. His recent track ?My Reflection?, for example, is being used for the video presentation on all American Airlines flights. His fresh organic sound has become the vibe and original soundtrack for Fashion TV. Leo has been releasing and producing the FTV series of deep soulful compilations, his work, ensuring the glamor of the station is well represented . Leo Portela?s releases produce a change of mood on the dance floor, according to a study conducted by British consultant agency, White Noise. This is being confirmed by many of his tracks getting support from highly respected artists and djs within the house community. Portelas tracks have been enlisted in the charts of artists such as Ben Watt (Everything But The Girl), Miguel Migs, Kaskade, Roger Sanchez, Rob Da Bank, Layo & Bushwacka, Sandy Rivera, Lee Burridge, Craig from Silicon Soul and Fink from Ninja Tunes.
