Lewis Niles Black (born August 30, 1948) is an American stand-up comedian, author, and playwright. He is best known for his regular appearances on Comedy Central's The Daily Show delivering his "Back in Black" commentary segment, in which he ridicules (often simulating a nervous breakdown or rant) recent trends and cultural phenomena. He recently purchased a house in Chapel Hill, NC and has stated that he intends to help found a comedy festival for collegiate comedians. 2. Lewis Black was a blues musician in the 1920's. In the Calt & Wardlow book on Charley Patton, Lewis Black was a tenant of the Peerman plantation and learned some guitar from Earl Harris who had also taught Patton, Willie Brown and Earnest Brown, from who the information came.
