Los Piojos

Los Piojos was an argentine rock band born in 1987, originally formed in El Palomar, Buenos Aires. The band was lead by Andrés Ciro Martinez (principal songwriting, harmonica, and vocalist). The line-up was completed by Gustavo Hernán "Kupi" Kupinsky (rhythm/lead guitar, backing vocals), Miguel Ángel "Micky" Rodríguez (bass guitar, backing vocals) Daniel "Piti" Fernández (rhythm/lead guitar, backing vocals) and Daniel Buira (drums) [later, he was replaced by Sebastián "Roger" Cardero (drums)]. In January 4, 2011, Kupinsky dies in a car crash. Musically they cite bands such as The Rolling Stones, Sumo and rioplatense's candombe artists such as Ruben Rada and Jaime Roos as key influences. They disbanded in 2009. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
