Lustre King

After "The Money Shot" 5 song EP on Divot Records, a 7" single on Actionboy and several compilation appearances, Chicago's Lustre King have finally begun working on their debut LP, SHOOT THE MESSENGER available on Southern Records spring of 1999. The five songs they have completed are the proverbial bomb. Incorporating aspects of dub and trip hop into their existing mix of the aggressive, the angular and the calculator, Lustre King are ready to hit the road once again and spread the word to the kids of America and soon the world. This time they are pairing up with Southern co-horts Sweep the Leg Johnny for a five week excursion. Lustre King broke up in 1999. Known for their live shows, Lustre King was unable to sustain the constant touring. Lustre King was Mike Lust (Guitar), Craig Ackerman (Bass), and Jay Dandurand (Drums). Members went on to form Abilene, Sterling, Bloodiest, and Tight Phantoms. Read more on Last.fm.
