Munis Sharifov

Munis Sharifov was born in 1962. M.Sharifov completes his studies in A.Zeynally Music College in 1977 and in Azerbaijan State Conservatory in 1986. Since 1990, he is a teacher of Baku Music Academy. At the same time, he is employed at the Science Laboratory on Restoration of Ancient Music Instruments at the Baku Music Academy. M.Sharifov has performed in number of state concerts in composition of orchestra. In 2002, he successfully represented Azerbaijan music arts in the concert programs in Paris and Strasbourg, arranged by UNESCO. The music of the ensemble was recorded to a compact disk by UNESCO. UNESCO has recorded a special compact disk dedicated to this ensemble. In 2005, together with the ensemble he has given brilliant performances on “The Voices From Our Hearts” Festival in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, and in “The Week of Culture of Islamic Countries” in Istanbul, Turkey.
