Myles Cochran

Born and raised in Kentucky, Myles Cochran's childhood was immersed in music: folk and jazz on his parents' stereo, country and Southern soul on the car radio, classical in his grandfather's painting studio, and the British Invasion in his bedroom. When he began playing guitar and writing songs, this experience led him to his own experimental and atmospheric combination of country, folk and rock. Migrating to New York City, Myles played in bands at venues like CBGB and the C Note, and established himself as an inventive recording engineer and producer. Following a move to London and several years in southwest France, Myles currently lives in rural Devon, England. Myles's latest release is Unsung, an instrumental album that combines his influences and experience into a seamless whole, creating a unique and compelling musical world. Tracks from Unsung have received airplay on BBC Radio3 from Elizabeth Alker and Lopa Kotharo, and on Radio6 from Gideon Coe. Read more on Last.fm.
