Nick Lachey

Nicholas Scott Lachey (born November 9, 1973, in Harlan, Kentucky) is a pop music singer and actor who is best known for his work as a lead vocalist and writer with the boy band 98 Degrees. Other band members include Lachey's brother Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons, and classmate Justin Jeffre. Lachey starred in the hit reality television series Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica with his then-wife, fellow pop singer Jessica Simpson, which ran on MTV for four seasons from 2003 to 2005. Lachey and Simpson separated in November 2005 and were divorced on June 30, 2006. Lachey released his first solo album entitled SoulO in 2003. The album was a commercial failure and only produced two singles, "This I Swear" (the title track for Newlyweds) and "Shut Up". Lachey released his second solo album, What's Left of Me on May 9, 2006. Certified Gold, the album reached #2 on the Billboard 200 and #6 on the Billboard Hot 100. It has thusfar produced two singles, "What's Left of Me" and "I Can't Hate You Anymore". Aside from making music, Lachey has starred in movies (Bewitched and The Hard Easy) and has made appearances on various television shows (Charmed, Faking the Video, Hope and Faith, Twins and One Tree Hill). He has also been a contributing sportscaster for ESPN's College GameDay. Recently, he has appeared in ads for "Clix", a brand of Axe deodorants. Lachey is now dating MTV Veejay Vanessa Minnillo, and is rumored to be releasing "Patience" as his next single in January 2009, with a new album coming two months afterward. Read more on Last.fm.
