Nortec Collective

Nortec Collective is a 4 piece musical ensemble from northern Mexico. Their musical genre includes norteño and electronic. The ensemble is made up of Bostich, Fussible, Hiperboreal, Clorofila. As of 2008, they have ceased to record and perform collectively and have began to release albums and tour separately. Since then, Bostich + Fussible, have released "Tijuana Sound Machine" and "Bulevard 2000" and Clorofila released a solo album called "Corridos Urbanos" Nortec Collective is not a thing or a genre or a group or a band, but an entire electronic aesthetic. It is a convergence of high-tech and low-tech, of North and South, of all things techno with all things norteño, of all the things that are a part of the rural and urban. The sound of the Nortec Collective is the sound of the First World in the Third and the Third World in the First. Also know as: Nortec or Colectivo Nortec Read more on Last.fm.
