The modern Russian singer-songwriter Arseny К. concealing his name under a pseudonym “Padla Bear” is undoubtedly a new page in history of modern underground music. Padla Bear was born and grew up in Leningrad in the late eighties in an intelligent family. He was keen on music since he was six, listening with interest to A.Vertinsky and B.Okudzhavy's records, jazz and rock bands. Later he became involved in a bit different music and started writing stuff and making sound records independently. In 2000-s Padla Bear gathered his own musical band and named it Padla Bear Outfit. In the same 2000-s, the ensemble Padla Bear Outfit actively record songs and played gigs. Among direct influences it is possible to note indie, blues, minimalism and lo-fi. The lyrics of Padla Bear Outfit are full of allegories, sending us to modern and classic poetry and folk song. What is more, Padla Bear uses slang expressions to make the lyrics more open to work class.
