Ronnie Gibson

Ronnie Gibson is about to release his second album, much to the excitement of his already sizable army of fans. With the album expected to be a success the exciting, newfangled sound that he has made his own is certain to gain interest from across the land. The development of his unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influences. As he listened to such artists as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Ricky Skaggs, John Denver and many others, Ronnie dreamed of the day he would write his own style of unique popular music. His first foray into learning an instrument himself came when he started to take guitar lessons from well known guitarist Ricky Biszantz from the local legendary group Rockduster in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 13. Later he began to play bass guitar and keyboards, which he continued with for years. It was the bass guitar in which he excelled and would play in high school bands while staying steady on the six string. Born in Ohio , it was here that he developed his musical tastes and interests, and it wasn’t long after picking up a guitar that he was experimenting with all genres in his special style of songwriting which has had a profound influence on the direction his musical journey. After realizing that making music was his main goal, he began to showcase his talent in various venues across Ohio , playing at numerous gigs and making sure that his name and music were being heard by as many people as possible. He was quickly noted for the unique style that he brought to the scene, and his popularity began to grow. As his confidence grew and his style developed, he soon saw a loyal following begin to grow and he became a popular songwriter in the Cincinnati music scene. His talent with a variety of musical instruments only added to his appeal, and his unique twist to find an appreciative audience. His musical ambitions continued to grow, aided by the sounds of popular music that he finds all around him. He finds himself unrestricted to any genre. In fact his influences are vast, which his CD collection demonstrates, providing literally a room full of music from every corner of the globe. He is keen to point out that everything he listens to directs his musical development in some way. However, he would certainly include Ricky Skaggs, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, John Denver and Led Zeppelin as amongst his biggest influences. Finally, after honing his unique sound over recent years, he is now preparing to release his second album, ‘Mustang Blue’, which underlies the changes that Ronnie has gone through over recent years. He has allowed himself to develop as a person, and has in turn profoundly aided his musical development. The songs provide a combination of his exciting guitar playing and mellow vocals which bear testament to his songwriting, playing, and punctuate throughout with elements of classic rock, reggae, jazz, pop and R&B. And as if that wasn’t enough, Ronnie has taken it upon himself to take up raising his dogs Mika and Heidi. The satisfaction he gets from indulging in his many passions has led to a bond with the animals, although they are not always happy by the amount of time that he spends in his audio workshop. Ronnie’s schedule is increasingly relentless, and he is finding himself more in demand than ever on many websites across the internet . It seems that the world is building an appreciation for his sound and talent, and his loyal army of fans spread far and wide across the globe are waiting eagerly for their chance to listen to the completed album. Although he does not play live with a band these days he continues to stay on top of the game with his songwriting gaining fans on a daily basis. Read more on Last.fm.
