Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa

'Mac & Devin Go to High School' is a collaborative soundtrack and album by American rappers Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa, which was released on December 13, 2011 by Atlantic Records. Snoop Dogg announced plans for the release of a film and soundtrack alongside Khalifa back in January, with the tune "That Good", originally intended to be the soundtrack's lead single, soon coming out. Song "Young, Wild & Free" (also known as "Young, Wild & Free (feat. Bruno Mars)") notably became a hip-hop anthem; in its first week, it sold 159,000 digital copies, debuting at #10 on Billboard's Hot 100. The film appeared set for a straight-to-DVD release on April 20th, but it was pushed back. Receiving mostly positive critical reviews, the soundtrack featured guest artists on the tracks and producers behind the scenes such as Curren$y and Juicy J. Khalifa spoke about soundtrack saying, "It's a real big deal because nobody's done it like that as far as a veteran in the game, an OG, a pioneer and then the newest, youngest, most exciting dude in rap coming through, and really just giving people a complete project." Snoop also described it by saying, "It's something to relax you and get you through the day; it's some real good music. The music is quality, I don't even have no title for it, as far as what kinda music is it". The two rappers are the latest hip-hop figures to emulate the legendary Cheech & Chong team, following in the footsteps as well of Redman and Method Man (who both appeared in the 2001 stoner comedy 'How High').
