Teresita cites her father, Daniel Diaz Sr., who was a classical guitar teacher at the university level and her "musical" family as her primary influences. Teresita was raised with 9 brothers and sisters, all of whom could sing and play instruments. Her brother, Samuel Diaz, (aka Sammy D.,) is a well known Salsa DJ in Latin America, and Puerto Rico. Ella reside actualmente en San Diego, CA donde ella está un miembro del equipo de la adoración del Abiding Place. Teresita se conoce sobre todo en la escena cristiana latina de la música de América, debido al hecho de que ella canta sus canciones de la adoración en español e inglés. Teresita cita a su padre, el senior de Daniel Díaz., que era profesor clásico de la guitarra en el nivel de la universidad y su familia “musical” como sus influencias primarias.
