The Blakes

There are two bands that go by the name "The Blakes". 1) The Blakes recall the stinging catchiness of the early Who, Kinks, and other 60s spitfire rock bands. Brothers Garnet and Snow Keim (both on vocals) busked around the country, writing songs, 'till they ended up settling in Seattle.' There they met drummer Bob Husak and since have been touring the world with everyone from The Gossip to the Kills to Brian Jonestown Massacre, reached #1 on KEXP, garnered Top 10 album of '07 on iTunes and perform at clubs internationally and at US festivals from Lollapalooza to Bumpershoot to Sasquatch to SxSW. The Blakes have received critical adoration and massive airplay for their bone-rattling anthems "Don't Bother Me," "Two Times" and "Streets" from their self titled LP. The album was mixed and mastered by Martin Feveyear (Kings of Leon, The Epoxies). The Blakes songs have been featured in The Hills, 90210, How I Met Your Mother. The Blakes return with an international tour and their second full length release "Souvenir" through WeAreOkay Records. 2012 saw The Blakes release Art of Losses. Their critically acclaimed 3rd record. Chaske Spencer(Twilight) appears in their video for "Narwhal". They released one album, New Tattoo. They broke up, but two members stuck together and became Readymade Breakup. http://www.facebook.com/readymadebreakup & http://www.readymadebreakup.com Read more on Last.fm.
