The Rumpled

Under the moniker The Rumpled hides the Irish Folk-Rock band est. in Trento (Italy) in 2013. The 6 pieces ensamble plays a unique combination of Irish Folk, Rock, Ska and Punk, with the traditional instrument pair made of accordion and violin (Tommy and Patty) taking the spotlight as main melody makers; add on top some massive guitars riffs (Davide) and an ever-thumping rhythmic section (Michele on Drums and Luca on bass) laying the foundation for the drizzled vocals of the front-man (Marco) and you’ll have an idea of the Rumpled sound, a very fresh yet authentic version of Celtic Punk. The band’s discography sees in 2018 the release of the 11 tracks debut Album “Ashes & Wishes”, recorded and produced by Gianluca Amendolara of Black Dingo Productions (already involved in projects like The Rumjacks and many more), with the support of the Upload Sounds platform. In 2019, the band released the EP Grace O’Malley, a work inspired by the legendary female Irish Leader and Bucaneer. Anticipated by the title-track single, the record has been positively welcomed by both the audience and the press, raking up more than 1 million plays on Spotify. As for the Live side, all the studio works of the band have been followed by promotional tours in mainland Europe. The “Ashes and Wishes” Tour took the band on more than 60 stages between Switzerland, France and Italy, while the “Grace O’Malley Tour” ended in September 2019 , after more than 40 live shows around Europe, with the band shaking the ground from festivals stages like the one of Roi Arthur of Bréal-sous-Montfort in France, which saw more than 43,000 ppl attending the event. After the 2019 Christmas release of “Let It Snow!”, cover of the famous tune performed by Frank Sinatra, the band also shared the “Rumplugged Series” on the official Youtube channel, a selection of acoustic performances showcasing some of the best Celtic hits spiced up the Rumpled way. The band has also recently finished the recordings of a new studio work. The TOSS THE COIN EP was released on 13 March 2020 and will be followed by the “2020 Saint Patrick’s Tour”, with the band sharing some of the best European stages with the Aussie Celtic Punk legends The Rumjacks.
