Tony LeMans was a singer and songwriter associated with Prince and signed to Prince's Paisley Park Records. He released his self titled debut album in 1989 on that label and it peaked at #58 on the Billboard R&B Album chart. Three singles were released ("Higher Than High", "Cookie Crumbles", and "Forever More") without much chart success. Although Prince often worked behind the scenes on albums for his label, he officially played no role in this one. LeMans, an avid motorcyclist, was killed in a traffic accident on June 24, 1992 in Malibu, California. He had just begun the recording sessions for his second album, which was to feature a Prince composition called "Blue Fuschia." He wrote songs on Donnie Osmond's comeback album as well as The Rolling Stones's 1993 release Voodoo Lounge. By his manager, he was called " one of those acts that comes around once-in-a-lifetime".
