Vittorio Merlo

Vittorio Merlo was born in Milan, Italy and he now resides in Luxembourg since 1994. He started composing songs at age 15. He has always continued using the art of composing like a sort of personal journal where he puts his sensations and passions. His songs are influenced by many styles and mainly by the so-called "cantautori". In 1999 he decided to use Mp3.com to distribute his songs through internet. The reaction of the Internet public was good and he became in a short period the author of the most popular Italian songs on the net. More then 250.000 downloads for his songs, the most popular songs were Ferrari and Non sopporto I Berlusconi (I can't stand Berlusconi). The international press noticed it and many articles about Vittorio's success on Internet have been published (Libération, La Vanguardia, Corriere della Sera, ANSA, etc.). In Luxembourg Le Quotidien has dedicated an article about Vittorio on the Front Page. September 2003 he has participated at the Italian Festival "Una casa per Rino Gaetano" in Crotone with his song "Ho sognato Bruno Vespa": standing ovation and 3rd place between more then 1400 artists! In 2005 Vittorio Merlo has published his CD "Ho sognato Bruno Vespa". For this new project Vittorio has recorded in Bologna 6 songs with the cooperation of Roberto Manuzzi, Pier Mingotti, Massimo Calanca, Vince Tempera and Gian Luca Gadda. In 2007 he publishes the second CD Aicha.it and celebrates Khaled's song composed by Jean Jacques Goldman with his Italian version, "Non voglio che amore". http://vittorio.merlo.lu/ http://www.facebook.com/vittorio.merlo/ Read more on Last.fm.
