shh... this is a library

shh... this is a library is a one-man project formed by Brent Wolczynski of High Bridge, NJ. After the breakup of his previous band Conversation, Brent began writing solo music before leaving for college in 2005. Brent started studying Audio Recording at Five Towns College in Long Island New York, where he began writing and recording his original music in his dorm room as well as in the abandoned attic in his mother's house during breaks. With the help of some fellow Five Towns musicians and friends, Brent was finally able to complete the self-titled "shh... this is a library" in 2007. The music primarily consists of what has been described as "bedroom songs laced with ambient noises and field recordings of the sounds that surround us every day." Brent manages to build his delicate voice into intricate instrumental structures that are reminiscent of Swedish artist Rusty Tomaski (Asaurus Records). In 2008 Brent released a compilation of his best original songs entitled "Well Played," written before the formation of shh...this is a library. If you enjoy feeling like you are sitting in your living room next to the fireplace listening to your best friend singing, go ahead and dive into shh... this is a library.
