Настя Полева

Nastya Poleva was born in Sverdlovsk. She first performed as a vocalist in the hard rock band Трек in 1980 while studying at the Sverdlovsk Institute of Architecture. She then played with the band Nautilus Pompilius, and in 1986 began writing her own music, which was performed by Yegor Belkin and other musicians of the bands Nautilus Pompilius and Урфин Джюс, who at the time actually formed a single band. With the lapse of time this rock band split again into Nautilus Pompilius and Настя, named after Nastya Poleva. In 1986 they recorded the first album Тацу, the musical material of which is imbued with the spirit of Oriental exotica. The authors of the lyrics of the band, besides Nastya Poleva herself, were brothers Ilya and Evgeny Kormiltsev. Soon the band was abandoned by the former members of Nautilus Pompilius and Урфин Джюс, and actually became a creative duet of Nastia and her husband Yegor Belkin. In 1993 they moved from Ekaterinburg to Saint-Petersburg. Current line-up * Nastya Poleva (vocals) * Igor Belkin (guitar) * Marat Haybullin (bass) (2006-) * Albert Potapkin (drums) (2006-) Read more on Last.fm.
