Сильфы

The basic direction of our creativity is folk-music, but not in the usual sense, and more likely folk-motives with elements of classical music, fate and a jazz. Style and sounding of group is defined in a greater degree by its structure, rather than desire to adhere to any one direction. In structure of group: a flute, a violin, a violoncello, an acoustic guitar, a bass-guitar, shock and percussion, and, certainly, a vocal. The material which we execute, is author's all songs and tool compositions are written by participants of collective. In our texts and music there is a place and for light cheerful ideas, and for serious "heroic-epic" subjects, and for fantasy, and certainly for lyrics. In a word, our creativity lays on a joint of "antiquity" and "present", and our idea is connection of subjects of the past epoch with mood of our time. The name "Sylphs" has appeared not at once.
