Ukrainian alternative band, playing in different music styles. Since 1999 Ірена Карпа is the front woman of the alternative music band Фактично самі (Actually Alone). She composes the music and the lyrics, often outrageous, scandalous and sometimes quite symbolic, sexual and lyrical. The band has made a range of non-mainstream videos and published 4 albums. The music is a mixture, ranging from industrial, punk and hard core to psychedelic trip hop. In 2004 Фактично самі signed a 1 000 000 USD contract with Cypriot investors assuming their collaboration for 5 years. After the shooting of one “commercial” video (remake of an older non-commercial one) and several attempts to achieve a compromise making “music that is understandable to everyone and commercially successful,” the group decided to quit and keep on going by themselves.
