TOKYOPILL is a sex offender who makes predominantly atmospheric drum and bass and jungle, mistaken as breakcore. His popularity began from the track E t h e r e a l, originally named M e t a d a t a, gaining popularity on TikTok due to it using the anime "Serial Experiments Lain" as its aesthetic, which was also gaining popularity within the TikTok breakcore community. In July 22nd 2023, it was revealed in a tweet by his ex-partner that he raped and abused his partner during her worst .
