"Chapstick,” originally titled “dance cry chapstick,” is arguably one of the most experimental songs of indie-pop band, COIN, and serves as the lead single for their fourth LP. Largely supported by the bass line, the track explores when something unnatural comes into contact with the natural. Lead singer Chase Lawerence commented on the song’s production in a tweet: "“Chapstick” is a combination of sounds that I’ve never heard before… like you fed hours of 60s, 70s rock into a computer & politely asked them to pick up in 2023.
