“Cutie” is an upbeat love song that marks COIN’s first release of 2022. The title refers to a common brand name for clementines, a type of orange. Though it does not appear in the song’s lyrics, the reoccurring term of endearment “tangerine,” which is also an orange, is heard in the chorus. “Cutie” was first teased by frontman Chase Lawrence’s Instagram on January 4, 2022 where he shared an eight-second snippet.
